Terms and Conditions

Professionalism
Site Translations (we, us) is committed to providing Client (you) with cost-effective, high-quality translations efficiently and on time. We will generally not provide translations that are objectionable or offensive to us, or that can be objectionable, offensive or harmful to others.

Quotes
Quotes will be based on our current price list and your specific needs. After thre scope of the project has been established, we will submit a written proposal, which will be valid for 30 days.

Payment
We require our clients to pay 50% of our fee in advance. Our policy is to start work on a translation only after we have received the deposit. The rest of the quoted price is due upon receiving our translation. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or check. Orders of less than $1000 require 100% upfront payment.

Late payments will be assessed a 1.5% late payment fee per month plus the cost associated with the recovery of payment. All disputes shall be brought within the territorial jurisdiction of Cook County, Illinois.

Translation Delivery
We understand the importance of on-time delivery and put forth every effort to complete translations in a timely fashion and within the agreed-upon timeframe. We will not be held responsible for the failure to meet the estimated date. We reserve the right to subcontract the work. Delivery will be via e-mail. Translations remain property of Site Translations until invoice is paid in full.

Translation Changes
If there is any omission or error we will correct the translation. In the event that there is more than one way to intepret the meaning of a source text, we shall not have an obligation to correct mistakes or errors at no charge, unless preferences of style and/or terminologies have been communicated to us prior to the start of the translation. You will be responsible for checking all numbers and graphics.

Liability
Under no circumstances shall Site Translations be held liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, harm, financial loss or any other loss caused at any time and under any circumstances. Our entire liablility to you is limited to the cost of the work to which any claim relates.

You implicitly acknowledge the conditions of this disclaimer by entering into a business relationship with Site Translations.

We shall not be liable to you for any failure due to any labor dispute, fire, flood, law, governmental or political action, act of God, or any other cause beyond our reasonable control. In the event of any such occurence, the time period under this agreement shall be correspondingly extended.

You are solely responsible for having obtained the documents to be translated in a lawful manner.

Copyright
You agree to be solely responsible for the use of our translations and for abiding by all copyright laws in any or all countries of the world. Site Translations is not responsible for any infringements of copyright laws by Client. The copyright of the translation is the property of Site Translations and becomes Client's property only after receipt of full payment.

Claims
You must notify us within 21 days of the delivery of the translation of any alleged inaccuracies, at which point our liability will be no more than to rectify any such alleged inaccuracies, that we deem to be justified, to our satisfaction. At no time will such allegations delay payment. In any event, we shall not be liable to you if you fail to notify us within 21 days of translation delivery.

Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the federal laws of the United States and the laws of the State of Illinois, and both Site Translations and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any action or dispute in the state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. All parties agree that the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover cost, including but not limited to, attorney fees, reasonable expenses, and mileage at the effective IRS rate.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions. Except as otherwise expressly agreed by both parties, this is the entire agreement between Site Translations and you regarding the Terms and Conditions for the provision of services. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without prior written notice.
